A dumpster’s price depends on three things: the size, the weight of your debris and the rental period. Here are our 2026 rates, no surprises.
Price by size (before tax)
- 10-yard: $450 (1 tonne and 7 days included)
- 15-yard: $550 (2 tonnes and 7 days included)
- 20-yard: $650 (2.5 tonnes and 7 days included)
- 40-yard: $1,000 (4 tonnes and 14 days included)
Fees that can apply
- Additional tonne: $160 per tonne, maximum 5 additional tonnes.
- Additional day: $10 per day beyond the included days (7, or 14 for the 40-yard).
- Scraping: $90 if an excavator is needed to empty the dumpster.
- Breach of terms (overfilled bin, prohibited items, blocked access): $50 minimum.
- Travel: from $50 for Montréal, Laval and the North Shore.
- Back-lane delivery: from $50.
- Wasted trip (container can’t be dropped off or picked up): $75 or more.
How to avoid extra fees
- Pick a size with enough included tonnage for heavy debris.
- Plan your work to fit in the included period, or budget a few extra days (only $10 per day).
- Keep refused materials out (paint, batteries, tires, propane, chemicals).
- Don’t load above the top of the walls.
- Make sure access is clear on delivery and pickup day.
