Frequently asked questions
Prices, sizes, weight, materials, delivery: everything to know before renting a dumpster.
How much does a dumpster rental cost?
Our 2026 rates include the rental period (7 days, or 14 days for the 40-yard) and a set tonnage by size:
- 10-yard: $450 + tax, 1 tonne included
- 15-yard: $550 + tax, 2 tonnes included
- 20-yard: $650 + tax, 2.5 tonnes included
- 40-yard: $1000 + tax, 4 tonnes included
Extra fees apply for each additional tonne ($160), each additional day ($10) and scraping if needed ($90), plus tax. Travel fees start at $50 for Montréal, Laval and the North Shore, and at $50 for back-lane delivery.
Which dumpster size should I choose?
It depends on the volume and weight of your debris. Use our size tool or call us at 438-518-3131.
What’s the difference between 10, 15, 20 and 40 yards?
The 10-yard measures 10 × 7 × 4 ft, the 15-yard 12 × 8 × 4 ft, the 20-yard 12 × 8 × 6 ft and the 40-yard 20 × 8 × 7 ft. The 15 and 20-yard take up the same ground space; the 20 is taller.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
7 days are included in the price for the 10, 15 and 20-yard, and 14 days for the 40-yard. Each additional day costs $10 plus tax. There’s no maximum: each additional day is billed. Repeat contractors get a 15-day rental included instead of 7.
Can I extend my rental?
Yes. Each day beyond the included days (7, or 14 for the 40-yard) is billed at $10 plus tax. Just call to let us know.
How much weight can I put in?
The 10-yard includes 1 tonne, the 15-yard 2 tonnes, the 20-yard 2.5 tonnes and the 40-yard 4 tonnes. Each additional tonne costs $160 plus tax, up to a maximum of 5 additional tonnes for any size.
What can I put in the dumpster?
Construction materials, wood, metal, drywall, ceramic, furniture and small mattresses.
Soil, concrete and brick are accepted, but each in its own dedicated dumpster. Soil can only be mixed with sod and earth. These materials are heavy: call us to pick the right size.
What’s not allowed?
Contaminated materials, chemicals, propane tanks, paint, batteries, tires and other hazardous materials. If these rules aren’t followed, a minimum $50 fee applies.
How full can I fill the dumpster?
Never above the top of the walls. If the dumpster is far too full, we can’t pick it up and charges of $75 or more may apply for the wasted trip. If it’s slightly over, we remove the excess needed to transport it safely. The customer must make sure the load is safe and the door is properly closed.
What is the scraping fee?
A $90 fee plus tax applies if an excavator is needed to empty the dumpster, for example when debris gets stuck inside.
Where do you deliver?
Everywhere in Greater Montréal: Montréal, Laval, the South Shore, the North Shore and Montérégie. Travel fees starting at $50 apply for Montréal, Laval and the North Shore. See our service areas.
Do you serve my city?
If you’re in Greater Montréal, most likely. Beyond the cities on our list, we serve many surrounding municipalities, such as Greenfield Park, Sainte-Julie, Saint-Michel, Saint-Jérôme, Beloeil and Mont-Saint-Hilaire. Check our service areas or call us at 438-518-3131.
Where can the dumpster be placed?
Usually in your driveway or on your property. Plan for the following space:
- 10-yard : at least 13 × 13 ft (the dumpster plus 2 to 3 ft behind and on each side), and plenty of room in front for the truck to manoeuvre
- 15-yard : at least 15 × 14 ft (the dumpster plus 2 to 3 ft behind and on each side), and plenty of room in front for the truck to manoeuvre
- 20-yard : at least 15 × 14 ft (the dumpster plus 2 to 3 ft behind and on each side), and plenty of room in front for the truck to manoeuvre
- 40-yard : at least 23 × 14 ft (the dumpster plus 2 to 3 ft behind and on each side), and plenty of room in front for the truck to manoeuvre
Can the dumpster go on an asphalt driveway?
Yes. As you can see in our photos, the dumpster sits on wooden boards that help spread the load. The customer is responsible for the container’s contents, placement and safe use. RempliGo is not liable for damage to property, stains or injury caused by misuse or negligence.
Do I need to prepare my driveway?
Clear the planned spot (cars, bins, belongings) and make sure nothing blocks the truck: low branches, wires, a closed gate. If we make an unnecessary trip because the container can’t be dropped off or picked up (blocked access, not enough space, overfilled container, etc.), charges of $75 or more may apply.
Do I need a permit?
On your own private property, generally not. If the dumpster has to sit on the street rather than on your property, a municipal permit may be required. Rules vary from city to city: check with your municipality. Getting the permit is the customer’s responsibility. Obtaining a permit, if one is required, is the customer’s responsibility.
How fast is delivery?
Same-day delivery is possible if you book early enough in the day. We usually confirm within a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the time of day.
Do you deliver and pick up?
Yes, and it’s included in the price. We deliver the dumpster to your address and come back for it at the end of your rental.

Do you deliver in back lanes?

Can you pick up and load the debris for me?
Yes. We can also send a crew to pick up and load the debris for you, so you have absolutely nothing to do. Pricing is quoted based on what you want picked up: more volume, or heavier items (a piano, for example), means a higher price.
